The FLAI is a Cgil trade union that organizes workers in agriculture and food processing industry.
Its main statutory principles aim to protect, defend and promote the individual and collective workers’ rights that it represents (i.e. permanent and temporary employees, seasonal and occasional employees) as well as to strength the solidarity among all permanent, precarious workers and unemployed people.
FLAI bases its political choices on the improvement and protection of living and working conditions, health, environment and territory.
The purpose of FLAI is to strengthen the unity of the trade union movement in Italy and in Europe. It is affiliated to Seta, the European Federation of workers in the food industry; to the Efa, the European Federation of Agricultural Workers and to the Uita, the International Union of Agro-industrial Workers.
