Antibiotic standards exceeded
Animex company, which offers its products under brands such as Krakus, Morliny, Berlinki, withdraws from the market a dozen of products and batches of sausages, blood sausages, dry smoked pork sausages and hams.
‘The standards of the antibiotic doxycycline have been exceeded in cold cuts’, reports Money.pl portal. The products were sold to the largest store chains in Poland. Animex delivers its products to: Lidl, Tesco, Auchan and many others. Notably, the information that appeared on Wirtualna Polska portal shows that relevant cold cuts were also available in Biedronka.
Some of these products have passed their expiry date, thus one can suspect that customers have eaten potentially dangerous cold meats. The company claims that it withdrew the products voluntarily, not under the pressure of veterinary inspection.
